BurdaStyle c/o Blouse pattern
Zara jeans
American Apparel heels
Madewell purse

I had been wanting to try this fabric from Fabric.com and glad I finally did! There has been a bit of slowing down between projects as I've been trying to source everything exactly as the pattern calls for. This is a bad habit of mine, rushing to the store and grabbing something somewhat close. Even if I don't really know what it is (cross your fingers mystery fabric #4 works!!). I'm sure you other seamstresses can relate, especially when materials aren't easily accessible at the store. Good thing we have the internet, right?

I changed the button band just for times sake and finished every seam as a french seam. Wow, I don't know why I waited so long to start using french seams! Makes you feel so professional. I also took out the side slits that the original pattern. Aside from the original button band being slightly confusing, I really enjoyed sewing up this blouse. Hoping I can make more soon~

  2. I love French Seams! They're seriously magical.

The blouse turned out amazing. The print reminds me of this new Madwell print that just hit the stores: https://www.madewell.com/browse/single_product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441774440&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302023777&nav_type=PRMNAV&bmUID=loMhyCv
