Target Denim Jacket
Embroidery Foot (enables the machine to do freehand sewing)

I saw this Craftsy Free Hand Embroidery on Pinterest and decided to give it a go. I ordered this foot off Amazon a long time ago and it took forever to get here, but I'm still happy I went for it. In addition to needing a special foot to make a regular machine do this, you must lower the dog feeds. Also set the stitch length to zero!

My thoughts: Well, it was fun to try something new but if you want that polished chain stitch, you might as well do it by hand or get an embroidery machine. I'll have to see what other ideas I could use this on though! There are a couple ways to fake a chain stitch on the machine, I saw one on YouTube but honestly it would be faster to do the chain stitch by hand.

I took a look through Google Fonts and put my name in to get an idea of what I wanted it to look like. Then just used some fabric chalk to write my name. Pretty easy stuff right? Easy way to give an old jacket some new life!
