DIY UNIF inspired dress, Steve Madden heels, Rumi Neely x RVCA dress

I went from having little leopard in my closet to...well, an explosion. Might get some weird looks from this number that I literally just finished sewing about 20 minutes ago but that's a risk I'm willing to take. This was, of course, inspired by the UNIF dream dress. I think it will prove to be a pretty versatile piece.

Wore this outfit around to run some errands with my sister. Wig shopping didn't go as planned but I did happen to find the leopard fabric I've been looking for. I want to make an inspired UNIF dress! Eeep! I've seen many fly girls wearing it but the kicker was when I saw Marissa from Penelope and Coco rocking it at the Revolve event. I've also been comparing my version of this Nasty Gal shirt and I have to say...mine is pretty close! :)

I was unsure about this skirt when I first saw it because of the pattern, but I loved the shape of it so much that I went for it. I was also going to pair it with some oxfords but I could only find one...I bet the other is somewhere in my car. Oh well, in other news, I'm going to work on a DIY for the lace bell bottoms on Thursday. I'm looking forward to doing it!

I love sheer kimonos like this one from Cotton On ...I think it was around $30? They are great to have because you can easily throw it on with anything! I recommend investing in one. Easy for school too.

Blue again? I'm so predictable! A gal came into my work wearing this blouse and I loved the color, but I didn't have a chance to ask her where she got it. But, to my relief, yesterday when I stepped foot into Forever 21 it was right in front of me screaming! Destiny indeed. A bit dramatic but hey, I was sure excited!

In the words of Rachel Zoe, Shut. It. Down. It's bananas. In my own words, is this the real life??? In this months issue of Seventeen Magazine (omg!!) I am featured as the October Style Crush! HOLY CRAP! I can't believe that the issue is finally out and I seriously couldn't be happier... it is what I dreamed it would be! If you go and pick it up I'm on page 50 ;) I couldn't thank you more, Seventeen!!

Now that I've calmed down a bit from my dramatic freak-out extravaganza I suppose I'll tell you about this shirt. I've seen it on Nasty Gal in many different colors and I thought it would be an easy sewing project for the day. It isn't exactly the same but I think it will do! It cost me about $13 to make! Practice makes perfect! Don't forget, only three days left of the giveaway!

Hopefully soon I can get around to a DIY post about these lace bell bottoms (super easy!!). I would like to make it a video DIY but we'll see if I can get my hands on a video camera. We shall see!!

I was contacted by In Love With Fashion to look at their pieces and to see if there were any that caught my eye. I immediately began looking for a high-low skirt after many failed sewing projects. Well, the skirt came in the mail today and I love it! It's very comfortable, light, and over all a good quality item. If you are looking to buy one of these skirts, just an fyi that they are very sheer (at least mine is) and I wasn't expecting that, so you will need a slip. I think I'll be wearing this skirt a lot!
