Remember this dress? Yeah... here is the painting that my dear friend Leah LeLoup did! Pretty talented, huh?

AUrate gold ear cuff

Monday, January 21, 2019

Ever since I first saw Boa Kwon's ear stack at the tender age of 13, I've been obsessed with the conch piercing. Me being the baby that I am, I've never gone through with it. So when AUrate reached out for a little collaboration, I immediately gravitated towards this gold ear cuff. I have to say, this is probably the most comfortable ear cuff I've ever tried!

Upon further investigation, beyond offering chic pieces to adorn yourself with, AUrate does some pretty cool stuff. With a focus on ethics, AUrate does all they can to ensure that their jewelry materials are obtained in the best ways that they can be. This ranges from 100% recycled gold to sourcing pearls from family-ran farms that promote biodiversity of marine environments. Another plus? Each purchase helps get a child in New York a book in partnership with Mastery Charter. That's pretty rad, if you ask me.

my favorite knit sweater

And here is my last look with Karissa! You can see look one and look two here. Again, all shot on the same block as the previous two looks. This knit sweater is a new addition and is perfect to add some texture into my wardrobe. Somehow this is something I'm always searching for but tend to have the least of in my closet? I suppose I'm picky in that sense. I find texture and pattern to be walking a fine line between chic and crazy. This top was an easy pick due to its beautiful taupe color.

Here is the second look that I shot with Karissa (you can see the first look here!) These were also shot on the same block as Cafe Madeline. It's a very photogenic street!

We all know I'm Madewell obsessed. I've seen so many several blouses like this one over many season and never went for it. A simple white blouse? I can make that! Well, I never did so I'm glad I finally bought one. Plus, this one is made of some pretty soft fabric which I am a fan of. I'm also a big fan of ASOS jeans. Ordering jeans online can be difficult but in addition to picking what size fits you, you also have more control by being able to select an inseam size as well! Returns & exchanges are simple so that if you needed a different size you can do so smoothly. And no, this is not a sponsored post!!

florals

Met up recently with the lovely Karissa Bowers to shoot three outfits! This first look was shot at the adorable Cafe Madeline in South Park, which used to be my frequent stop for paninis on Sunday mornings. Let me tell you that shooting with Karissa was so easy! You never know how smoothly things are going to go especially if it's with a photographer you haven't met before. The two of us met off Instagram, and you can see her account here.

I've had this dress from Forever 21 for such a long time but never got around to wearing it. It's such a cute print but the way the dress is constructed in the sleeves doesn't allow you to raise your arms...at all. So, not good for every day wear but good for a photoshoot!
