Today I met up with a local photographer and makeup/hair artist (Jessica Chavez & Brooke Hill) to do some portfolio work, and I couldn't be more happy with the results! Both girls were much fun to work with. We shot a total of three outfits...so here is one of them. I recommend working with both these gals ;)

Today I finally broke down and purchased the Fujifilm Instax after discovering the Polaroid I have always planned on using is broken (of course). But so far I'm enjoying this camera. I've only taken one photo with it because I hate to waste film. I think slowly I will become more and more obsessed with it. Speaking of being obsessed, I think I've worn these boots every single day since I purchased them. Comfy/slip resistant enough to wear to work is a plus in my book!

I love it when my failed DIY sewing projects turn out to be okay...going to be making a ton of these shorts for summer. Velvet (Stone Cold Fox), lace trim (Free People), draw strings, elastic waist bands... I'm excited!

The weather this week has been unbelievably nice out...summer is on the way! Not that San Diego doesn't have nice weather to begin with, but it has been noticeably warmer. Got some fro-yo and headed down towards the beach to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Wore this dress over my swim suit and decided to try a "live" polyvore type thing after seeing a few on I've Got a Lust for Life. Might have to do that more often.
