my sketchstreet designs

OH my gosh! It's up! It's very exciting and a little nervewreking to be honest. Makes me feel a little vulnerable? Thats a little weird. Anyways, I wanted to share with you my thoughts and the process behind this collaborative effort. Please go vote on Sketch Street! The signup process to vote is really simple!
SketchStreet approached us four bloggers and asked if we would be intereseted in designing 5 pieces, with the fall and winter seasons in mind. So, I sat, and I thought. And I stared at some paper some more (my Fashionary to be exact). I drew everything in my Fashionary, scanned them into Photoshop, and edited them. I then sent them over to Sketch Street who had a professional illustrator re-draw all of our drawings.
I sew for myself, but I've never really sat down and tried to design something completely original. Instead of designing 5 pieces that were to go together as a mini collection, I just went ahead and sketched some individual pieces that I found to be good for fall and winter. If you go to each designs individual page, which I gave links to under the photo, not only can you vote but you can read a little bit more about each design.
I really hope you like them (and that you vote!) so that these designs can be made into real clothing!
