After sewing my Sierra, I realized that I had just enough lace left over to make some matching underwear. Again, a new venture for me. I've always loved Ohhh Lulu designs and I honestly don't know what took me so long to try a pattern of hers.
This pattern is pretty easy. I went ahead and cut my pattern and got to sewing pretty quickly. It of course comes with clear directions, and has photos to illustrate each step. At the end, there is also a glossary of terms to keep you on the right path.
This was my first time working with fold over elastic and I have to say, it's pretty neat stuff. I grabbed mine from Joanns, but I found it to be pretty expensive even with the coupon. So do some shopping around. This is also a good project to get used to sewing elastic with. I think thats the biggest issue I have when sewing bathing suits. I always stretch the elastic way too much!!

The only issue I had is that this pattern does not have a test square to make sure that your pattern printed the proper size. My computer and printer every now and then does some wacky things beyond me. Anyways, that's just nitpicking. If you are looking for an easy beginner pattern, give the Gia a go!
