Happening upon this park in Kyoto was probably one of my most favorite spots on our trip. It was lined with street vendors and carnival type activities. My favorite? Enjoying a Japanese beer with fried rice on a stick under the falling cherry blossom petals. If you thought anime was exaggerating the beautiful trees, you are wrong. Cherry blossom season may be an incredibly busy time of the year, but we had a pretty decent time getting around Kyoto. I'm not 100% sure on the destination of this park, but my phone tells me somewhere in Kita-ku...
