This weekend I sewed up another version of the Valley Blouse by Cali Faye. I last made this blouse in a swiss dot back in October 2016! I didn't plan on making it again until I got this Telio Sophie Rayon in the mail. I wanted something that I could wear at work and at home, so this was perfect. I went down a size since the last one was just a bit too oversized. A few changes...
1. Omitted the french seams except for the back yolk. Serged instead because I find it faster for the same effect. This fabric can handle serging and didn't need french seams.
2. Instead of cuffs and a sleeve opening, I close the sleeve and made an elastic casing. Since the shirt is so billowy, I find the sleeves benefit from this change to try and almost tailor it in a bit.
Next version may end up slightly cropped as well! I'm thinking it would look super cute just over the top hem of a mid rise jean...
