Transitional Bomber | Pattern Review | BurdaEasy Bomber

A quick walkthrough TopShop the other day made me want to remake the bomber I made not too long ago. Originally I had wanted to make a new bomber that was a little bit more apt to colder weather. I really don't know why I thought that because San Diego doesn't really get chilly. TopShop is full of lighter unlined bombers, and I knew that I had the perfect pattern.

Since this bomber isn't lined I should be able to throw it on with a cute pair of jeans and over a tshirt. I went for a lighter zipper than I did last time and results are much better. Zippers are always givin me some sort of trouble, I think it just need more practice with them. I skipped out on the pockets and also changed the collar a bit. I prefer rounded edges versus a square edge. I still would really like to make a pink one!

Since this was the second time making this pattern I found it even easier than the first. Like I mentioned the first time, the pattern instructions come with illustrations to explain every step which is really nice. I drafted my own pattern pieces for the knit collar, cuffs, and band. I found the one for the band was way too small so I extended it. Maybe it was because my knit rib didn't have enough stretch. Almost thought about dying the fabric to match the satin but decided that would be a project for another day.
